2025 was fast-paced, unpredictable, and full of moments that reminded us why we built johnnypuetz productions in the first place. Bigger projects, stronger partnerships, and a whole lot of work we’re genuinely proud of!
We’re officially eight years in, which we feel is the perfect sweet spot. We’re not brand new, we’re not a bloated legacy shop, and we’re not a one or two person operation ‘trying to breakthrough’ anymore. We’ve built a real team, we’ve built real systems, and we’ve built the kind of client relationships that make the next year better than the last.
So, let’s have a look back at 2025 shall we!?
A COUPLE NOTABLES MOMENTS OF 2025
First, we added motion graphics to the service catalog. That ended up being a bigger deal than we expected, because it turned a lot of “this is almost there” edits into “yep, that’s the one.” Things like titles, graphic callouts, cool effects… etc. All the little things that make videos feel finished.
Second, we’re starting to get noticed and recognized by our good ol’ friends over at Google, haha! The day my friend showed me that johnnypuetz showed up as number one in the organic results in his search for “Best Production Company in NYC”... That was a good feeling. Of course that’s our team working on our web presence, but it’s mostly reflecting the fact that we’re getting good reviews, people are searching for us, and our reputation is growing.
All great things… 😀

2025 PROJECTS THAT MADE US SAY “OK, THIS IS WHY WE LOVE OUR JOB”
1. We rented and shut down what’s considered the busiest helipad in the US for a TV commercial. Yes, it’s the one you are thinking of… And yes, it was as wild as it sounds!


2. We got permits and filmed inside a NYC courthouse, and we also filmed on a high-rise construction site. Two environments that aren’t the easiest to access, and not everyone can pull off… Just sayin…


We worked with brands like Chanel, Carhartt, and Royal Kingdom, plus a dance-focused project for Paris-based agency Les Capricieuses that reminded us how much we love international creative work and the chance to work with out-of-town clients looking to film in NYC.

THE NITTY GRITTY OF RUNNING A BUSINESS
Anyone that runs a business knows that it’s not always roses and cupcakes every day… You have your ups and downs for sure. But, the thing is there’s always a silver lining to everything!
We had some production-side team rotation, which pushed us to tighten how we onboard and keep the core strong.
We had much higher client expectations this year… Which means more stress... More quick turns, more “we need this yesterday,” more high-stakes deliverables. We can handle that, but it does raise the bar on how sharp everything has to be.
And then, yes, we got hit with the weirdest thing of the year…
THE BLACKMAIL SAGA
We were hit with seven one-star reviews and a WhatsApp message trying to blackmail us.
Fortunately, Google quickly agreed they were fake and started removing them.
To everyone who flagged it and checked in, thank you.
To our real clients who’ve trusted us for years, you made it immediately obvious those reviews were nonsense. When your work speaks for itself, the fake stuff just looks loud and desperate.

Here’s the last few years side by side:
2022: 42 projects
2023: 123 projects
2024: 109 projects
2025: 100 projects
At a glance, 2025 looks slightly lower than 2024, but let’s dig a little deeper my friends, because there’s much more to this story! In 2025 the projects and scopes got bigger, and this has been our strongest year yet with approximately 10 percent growth in our business over the last year.

We were working our tails off in 2025! On average, every week we were on sets filming and cranking out assets in the high 5 digits. From big to small… we spent the year 2025 actively filming and editing content.

Nearly 40% percent of our jobs were returning clients. That is four out of every ten clients coming back for more, and that repeat work is what’s driving our growth. Returning clients are the best kind of proof because they have already seen how we work and they still want another round.

And that’s the coolest part… When we send out a quote… We’re most likely landing the job. If we had to put a number on it, we’d say that pretty much for every two quotes we send, we’re landing at least one of those jobs! That’s a strong signal that the right people are finding us, the fit is there, and the conversations are turning into real projects.
2026 HERE WE COME!
2025 felt like a year where the work leveled up.
Bigger projects, bigger locations, and bigger brands! We strengthened our team… we’re strong now than we’ve ever been. We have more repeat clients than ever. And we’re just getting started!
