When Gorayeb & Associates approached us, they weren’t just looking for a commercial. They wanted a statement. A legacy law firm with deep roots in New York City, they had built their name representing construction workers who had been injured on the job. But this time, they wanted to level up. A campaign that would air not only on Univision but also on major English-speaking networks like CBS. A campaign that could speak to the heart of the city they serve, both visually and emotionally.

That is where we came in. johnnypuetz was brought on to bring their story to life in a way no one else could. Helicopters. High-rises. Real courtrooms. Cinematic storytelling. This was not just another video. It was a full-scale TV production that required creative direction, logistical precision, and a clear vision from start to finish. What followed was one of the most ambitious and rewarding projects we have ever produced.

The Client: Gorayeb & Associates

Maybe you’ve seen them around… Because their marketing strategy is simple but powerful: stay top of mind. I.E. When someone gets hurt on a construction site, they want Gorayeb & Associates to be the first name that comes to mind. That kind of positioning doesn’t just happen with billboards and business cards. It takes bold creative, smart marketing, and the kind of media presence that makes people stop and pay attention.

The father, who built the firm over decades, is starting to pass the torch to his son, a recent law school grad with a modern vision. Together, they were ready to make a statement. They had done a helicopter ad before, years ago, but it was time to reimagine it. Bigger, better, and built for today’s audiences.

The Vision and the Storyline

We didn’t just film a video. We worked closely with Gorayeb & Associates to shape a full narrative! The idea: a father and son fly over New York City in a branded helicopter, scanning the skyline for someone in need. They spot a construction accident, land at a helipad, and race through the streets of Manhattan. They enter the courtroom, ready to fight, and in the final scene, they win for their client; handing a $2 million check to the injured worker they came to represent.  Boom! How powerful is that!?

This wasn’t just a legal commercial. It was a way to bring Gorayeb’s mission to life through story. The legacy. The family. The fight for workers who deserve better. All told with the kind of scale and polish that matches the impact they have in New York City.

The Execution: Not Your Average Shoot

This production wasn’t something you pull off with an iPhone and a stabilizer. It was a full-scale, television-grade commercial that demanded real coordination, serious planning, and a production crew of more than 20 people on every shoot. From airspace clearance to location logistics, every detail had to be right.

We shut down one of the busiest helipads in the country for a full hour. That alone required navigating permits, safety protocols, and airspace coordination. We filmed the helicopter landing from multiple angles, captured the talent getting into a car, and made sure every frame worked.

Then came the courtroom scenes. This wasn’t a set. It was a real New York City courthouse. That meant working with government agencies like the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment and DCAS to secure permits and access. We love em… but it’s not easy working with government officials when you’re on a strict timeline. You have to know what you’re doing to get what you want… And we got it!

On top of that, we filmed on an active construction site for a full day. We found a team willing to work with us and kept the budget under control. We even went helicopter to helicopter for some of the aerial shots.

This wasn’t just a shoot. It was a massive, moving puzzle… And we made every piece fit!

(Cool reflective moment… Looking back at how far we’ve come. Over the years we’ve recorded videos bike to bike, car to car, and now… helicopter to helicopter in the sky! How cool is that! What’s next…?  Maybe spaceship to spaceship, haha!)

Why It Matters

For Gorayeb & Associates, this commercial wasn’t just about visibility. It was about identity. They’ve spent decades fighting for workers who are often overlooked, and this project gave them a way to show that commitment with clarity and scale. It reinforced their legacy while positioning them as forward-thinking leaders in their space.

For us at johnnypuetz, it was a chance to prove what real production looks like. Not just beautiful shots, but tight logistics, high-stakes coordination, and storytelling that resonates. This wasn’t just a favorably lit interview in an office... It was a full expression of what’s possible when a client trusts the process and the production partner behind it!

This project raised the bar. And we’re just getting started.

The final cut of the Gorayeb & Associates commercial drops today! After months of planning, filming, editing, and refining every detail, we’re proud to share the result.

This project wasn’t easy. It took experience, trust, and a team that could deliver under pressure. But the outcome speaks for itself...  a true TV commercial with story, scale, and purpose.

And if your brand is ready to tell a story that actually makes people feel something, we should talk!
